The Hot Air Balloon Story by Emily

Imagine your most favourite spot in the world or a place you like to visit.

At this spot, you are waiting to leave with a group of people on a hot-air balloon.  Three of you all won a trip on this balloon.  As you step into the balloon with the other two people you accidentally kick the rope that was holding the balloon to the ground. It suddenly lifts off the ground without the person who was going to take the three of you on the tour.

Oh no!” cried Hailey. Hailey is tall and has long brown hair. “What are we going to do?” A girl next to her was shy, short and was talking an awful lot about their situation. Her name was Trudy. There was another girl standing and not saying a word. She was Jasmine. Although Jasmine was worried, she kept her thoughts to herself. On the other hand, Trudy was frantically panicking. Hailey was the one who was doing the talking!

Hours later, the three of them finally landed in an unknown place. It was filled with people wearing the same black suits. They all had somewhere to be. Hailey read a sign that said “BUSYVILLE”. It was a big sign written in bold black letters. No one even seemed to notice the three standing by a hot air balloon because everyone was so busy. Hailey was happy to be on ground, but so scared she didn’t know where she was. And to make things worse, she didn’t know Trudy or Jasmine.

Hailey walked up to a lady to ask for instructions on how to get back to Paris, but the lady kept on moving on without looking at the girls.

Meanwhile in Paris, the girl’s parents were very worried. On TV,  the news was reporting missing children. There happened to be a nice gentleman watching from “BUSYVILLE” and saw the three girls.

“Hello! I am Timothy and I am a train conductor. Would you like a lift to Paris?”

“Oh! Yes please!”  Hailey smiled. On the train ride, they saw lots of cool things, like bears, lakes, trees and they also got to hear the train go “toot toot!” Even though the train ride was fun, they couldn’t wait to go back home.

They arrived safely at the police station where the cops phoned the parents to come pick up their kids. The parents thanked Timothy and they all went home and ate lasagna and cheesecake!
