Grade 7 Fundraising – Letter for Parents

basket_for-grade_7sWelcome to the beginning of our fundraising! Our first fundraiser is set to coincide with our school’s Halloween dance on Thursday October 30th. Grade Seven students are asked to bring in one dozen baked goods (individually wrapped if possible) next Thursday morning to sell during the recess and lunch breaks. Each item will be sold for $1, so it would be helpful to combine smaller items such as cookies.

Also, as we discussed at the parent meeting, we will be starting to collect items at school for our Christmas basket raffle. If possible, it would be very helpful if your donation connected with one of the basket themes for this year. Our basket themes are going to be:

q) Have a Scent-sational Holiday
b) Rest and Relaxation
c) Toys and Treats
d) Fun and Games, and
e) Tool Time

If you are interested in making a donation, but don’t have an item that connects with these themes, don’t worry—we can always create extra baskets!

We are hoping to start selling tickets towards these baskets in late November/early December so that the contest winner can be drawn and have his/her basket presented at our annual Christmas concert. If you are able to participate in this fundraiser, please drop off your donation to Mrs. Purdey’s classroom by Friday November 14 so that fundraising credits can be recorded.

Thank you so much!
