First Nations Elder speaks at Sunset

Photo_1Mr. Mollinga’s grade 3/4 class would like to thank Mrs. Margaret Wilson, a First Nation’s Elder, for coming to their class and sharing her experience about attending St. Michael’s Residential School in Alert Bay. Students learned about what it was like to be at a residential school and the types of unfortunate side effects it has had on so many First Nations people across Canada. Thank you, Mrs. Wilson!
